Early socialisation is vital in the development of socially confident, relaxed and accepting dogs. The experiences puppies have up to 12 to 16wks of age stay with them into adulthood - this is called imprinting. Your puppy needs to have positive, fun experiences with a wide variety of adults, children, animals, dogs, objects, noises and environments. Puppy classes provide one opportunity to take advantage of this very important imprinting stage.

You will receive advice in all areas of training and behavioural development, such as housetraining, sleeping arrangements, chewing, mouthing, biting and jumping, as well as how to get started on basic commands. The emphasis is on avoiding behavioural issues developing and on teaching your puppy nice manners.

"I have two Pugalier puppies, Maggie and Georgie, which I must say can be a handful at times but without the advice and assistance from Lyn at Pawtential my job would be so much harder.  If we need help at any time we can ring her mobile or email and she will return your request within a very short time.  Her knowledge (unbelievable) and guidance has been such a help especially being older and on my own with two little dears.  After your puppy graduates Lyn allows you to keep attending classes until you feel you have learnt enough to handle your puppy to your satisfaction.  I would recommend Lyn to any new puppy owner."
