Jane Barron

Jane Barron has been involved with dog training for the past 30 years, she began her dog training with her boxer Caesar at the Macarthur Dog Training Club in Sydney and instructed at that Club for many years.

Jane came to the Coast in 1989, and was a founding member of the Sunshine Coast Dog Obedience Club Inc. She was actively involved, held several committee positions and was awarded life membership in 1998. Jane competed at Obedience Competitions for several years with her boxer Kara.  Jane left the club in 2001 when she was introduced to, and became a devotee of, Positive Reward Based training.

In 2002 Jane decided that she needed a break from obedience and joined the  Suncoast Fundogs Agility Club at Caboolture with her boxer Zoe.  Jane has instructed at that club since 2003. Jane is also a member of the newly formed (2009)Dances with Dogs Club in Brisbane.

 

Jane has conducted Puppy Classes at her local vets for the last 13 years. Jane is always keen to learn and keep up to date with the most successful and humane methods of training and therefore regularly attends seminars and workshops on Positive Reward Based Training.

Jane’s boxer Rosa is versatile, enjoying Agility, Dances with Dogs and Rally ‘O’. Rosa’s ability to learn, using Reward Based training, never ceases to amaze Jane. The joy of teaching and learning together is a wonderful experience.

Jane joined Pawtential in 2009, and will be mainly instructing Agility as well as assisting with the Manners and Life Skills classes. Jane’s knowledge of Agility, Rally‘O’, Dances with Dogs and Trick Training will bring a new diversity to Pawtential  Family Dog Training.
