Not all dogs are suited to a class environment. The leap from minimal distraction at home to increased distraction in a class can prove too much for some. These dogs need to gradually build confidence away from home first before joining a class.

Also, dogs with certain behavioural issues will benefit from help in the safety and comfort of their home environment.
